A strategic partnership is a collaboration between corporate entities with a common objective, mission or vision. Partnerships take their mutual objectives and focus on the overall goal of the partnerships as they share various resources in an attempt to solidify an advantage for all partners involved.There are 5 types of partnerships to consider. A Vertical partnership are companies within the same supply chain that trade lower prices in exchange for an agreed, termed commitment. A Horizontal partnership is where both partners agree to work together in an effort to improve their market position despite their competition is the same market segment. An Inter-sectional partnerships are partners that share their industry-specific knowledge or experience for the benefit of all partners. An Equity partnership attains a minor equity stake in another business in exchange for a monetary investment. A Joint Venture partnership is when a new company is formed and its profits are divided based on the terms of a contractual agreement. The partnerships we encourage are Service partners, Marketing partners, Distribution partners and Revenue partners. Service partners collaborate to offer a hybrid product or service that can bring a strategic advantage to both parties. Marketing partners work together to share marketing and promotional expenses to make advertising and campaigns more affordable and to offer more exposure to both companies and their products. Distribution partners agree to share or partner on bulk ordering, storage, and shipping costs. Revenue partners work together in a specific venue or market segment to increase sale or revenue for both businesses.
